Donor Privacy

The James W. Brabeck Youth Legacy Fund, a fund of The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County (Foundation) is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of personal information entrusted to us by current donors, potential donors, past donors, the Board and staff, the nonprofit agencies who approach us for funding, and the people that they serve. Respect for privacy and providing security is very important to our Board of Directors and staff. We apply the following practices for our donors and supporters.


The Foundation does not share, loan, rent or sell individual information of any kind that we receive from donors, professional advisors, nonprofit organizations and others who use the website of the Foundation to make their connection to the community. Online giving transactions are processed on a secure server. Your credit card information is not retained in our systems.


Website Visitors

Aggregate data may be collected about visitors to our website; this may include how visitors arrived at our site, utilized network name, browser type, type of Internet browsing device, the country, state, and city where the visitor’s server is located and the pages viewed during a visit to our site. We do not sell or rent personal information to others. We use information only for the limited purposes of sending updates and useful information about our programs, promotional information related to our mission, enhancing the site operation, for statistical purposes and for overall systems administration.

We may share information with service providers solely for the purpose of producing and disseminating Foundation information to our constituents. The electronic newsletter distribution list comprised of opt-in addresses. Recipients may remove an email from our mailing list at any time.
